First in Print

There is only one person who will truly appreciate this as much as I do (excuse the toothpaste stain on my singlet btw) because it was a very hard task continuing to make a bag out of a pattern that was so obviously born to be a vest.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you my first ever TAFE bag vest:

It doesn't have side seams so it's a little bit loose.. But hey. So am I. So we go perfectly hand in hand. It turns out, the only thing I really paid for were the two buttons used to pin the front panels back, (because if I hadn't it would have just been floppy and boring) because I 1. Got the pattern from TAFE 2. Got the thread from TAFE last year and 3. Got the fabric from TAFE last year as well!! So thank you, thank you, thank you Tighes Hill TAFE for the blessings you have bestowed upon me.

Uhm.. I think that's all.. Oh, except I had an awesome day walking around chit chatting with Tyson in Newcastle about this that and everything else.. I bought all the shit I need for my formal dress etc etc.. Cream satin, cream other stuff, chocolate brown rope and cord, thread, machine needles yadda yadda.. All up around $50 so I'm stoked, really. I mean, I already have (ugly) brown shoes, but my dress will be long enough that you won't be able to see my shoes anyway haha.

OH!! OH!! OH MY GOSH!! And I was standing at the bus stop near my house waiting for a bus to go in to town to meet Tybone right? And this guy walked past me and I didn't pay that much attention, and I was listeninng to my iPod and smoking a FANTASIA *shudders* when this guy like, tapped me on the shoulder!! I seriously jumped about 5000000000 metres in the air. LITERALLY. And then swore a lot and he was like, wow. I scared the shit out of you.

Great observation. Apology accepted, dumbass.

Then he was like, "Are those Fantasias? I love them."
And I said, "Well you've obviously never had Sobranies then."
And he said, "Ok.. Where do you get them?"
And I said, "Sobranies?"
And he said, "No, Fantasias."
And I said, "Oh. That.. King Of The Pack place on Beaumont Street."
Then he just said, "Oh. Cool. Wow. The sun is bright, I need to stand in the shade. Man, I just woke up about half an hour ago it's so early.."

1023.

Me: "Yeah, I woke up at about 930.. One of my friends told me to come in town for the day, I'm so tired still lol.." (I didn't say lol but I lolled.)
Him: "Lol.. Well, here's the bus.."

Then we got on the bus. And there was one seat left and he sat in it. I think he expected that we were such good buddies that I would sit next to him, because he started to like, smile at me and shit.. But then my mum called and I was about half way up the bus (you know like, at the doors?) And I answered and just stood there. Thanks, mum. Life saver.

Mmm.. Life savers..

So that's my day =) And what a good one at that. Actually, it pretty much topped off a fairly good week. I made a bag vest on Monday, got to see Alex on Tuesday, did sweet f.a yesterday.. Hung out with Tyson and bought material for my formal dress today..

I wonder what bad luck tomorrow has in store. Hmpf.

¡Los tiempos buenos, amigos!

I swear I saw you today. You (or at least your lookalike) was riding in a blue car through Warners Bay and I was like ''That girl looks really familiar!'' and about a second later I realised it was you (or at least your lookalike).

Was that you?

Sweet vest, dude. Wish I had talent at something. Anything.

Don't you live in America?

No, not me..
Blue cars are bad luck for me so I tend to avoid them.

But heaps of people think they see me around.. That's pretty cool, I think.

Uhh.. You have a keen eye for traffic?

Haha, I'm back in Newcastle now. I've been back for a few months.

Blue cars are always somewhat evil. It's the green ones you have to look out for though.

Haha, no idea how I managed to pay enough attention to a passing car to look at the passenger especially and then convince myself it was you! I'm sad I was wrong though.
