I passed up having sexual intercourse with a married Turkish man for this.. And you do know how much I love living on the edge.
Excellent movie, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to cry because I still miss Heath a heck of a lot.

Candy is a story of a love triangle: a boy, girl, and a drug. This is written on the back of the case, but you don't really think of it until you are halfway through the movie.
Heath Ledger plays Dan, a youngish junkie dating Candy, played by Abbie Cornish. Candy wants to be closer to Dan, so she begins to shoot up, as opposed to the casual snorting she was previously doing. To simply say it, it all goes downhill from there.
If you will notice in today's culture, there are no positive drug movies. If a movie character is on a stronger drug that marijuana, then they are probably in a downward spiral and no good will come of its use. The same case is here.
This movie is almost a public service announcement against drugs. however, the film was amazing, a great story was told, and you felt for the characters. Heath portrayal of Dan was brilliant. So lifelike that you wanted to help him.
Please see this movie with some discretion, as there is some nudity a few times in the beginning, and language is rather "colourful"- not for children, obviously. But for those not fitting into the children category, this movie is worth seeing. Even if you don't get the happiest feeling afterwards, you won't regret watching it.
In real life, I hate candy.
